Begin by opening the patient record and clicking on the Speciality tab in the side tool bar and then the Audiology tab at the top of the page to take you to the MMEx Audiology page. MMEx will remember the Audiology page as your default Speciality section when you click on this tab and open it directly next time you click on the Speciality tab.

To record a patientís ear health data, enter the date into the Ear Health History box at the top, select the check box to indicate if a sound booth was used or not and enter the name of person who the patient was tested by.
Below enter the data into the relevant fields and click the Save button at the top of the box.
The data will then appear on the graph below (Figure 2). To clear the boxes to record new data at a later date, click the New button. The saved data will be viewable by selecting the date it was recorded on from the Visit drop down box, also at the top of the Ear Health History box.

If a patient requires surgery you can record this in the Surgery box. To do this, start by clicking Add. The Add Surgery box will pop up (Figure 3).
Enter the ENT list date, priority and recommendations. If you have booked a date for the surgery enter this into the Surgery Date box and enter the type of surgery in the box below.
Click the Add button. The record will now be saved listed in the Surgery box on the main Audiology page.

To write a new progress note, first enter the reason for contact (e.g. Ear Health Screening). This acts as the title for the note by which it can be identified. Next, enter the date of when the patient was seen. Then below enter details of the progress note (Figure 4) and click Save.

To view a previously written progress note, identify the note relevant by the reason given and date, listed in the table as shown in Figure 5, and click on it. The note will appear in the box to the right.

Various files can be uploaded and stored against a patient's audiology record (Figure 6). To store a new file, select the type of file from the list of buttons at the top of the box (Referrals, Letters, Documents and Images) and click on the Add button.

To send a referral, first click on the Referrals tab and click Add Referral.

Type the name of the doctor you are referring the patient to into the Refer to box and select it from the drop down list that will appear from the box. The name should then appear directly below.
Select the priority from the drop down list and add your comments, then click Send.
