When your MMEx Client is installed, part of the installation includes estabilishing two files where HL7 and non-HL7 documents will be stored. When integrating MMEx with your Practice Management System (PMS), you will have to direct the Pms to the location of your MMEx documents
To import a non-HL7 document into Genie, you must first open up Genie and go to the Review Correspondence Icon on the Start Screen. Click on the icon to open the Outgoing Letters Page. Then click on the Import Letters button in the Outgoing Letters Page.

In the Import Letters page, click on the File Icon at the top of the page (Do not activate the File Menu). The File Icon will generate the Browse For Folder and you can then direct Genie to the location of your Non-HL7 storage file. If you can't remember where you stored the non-HL7 file, open up the MMEx client and under the Attachment Tab, you will find the location (Doc Directory).

In the Import Page, click on Import Letters. The MMEx non-HL7 correspondence should appear. If the document fails to appear, make sure that Genie is looking in the location where your MMEx non-HL7 documents are stored.
To view the correspondence you can click on the entry and it will open up in the right hand side of the screen. You can assign the correspondence to patients via the Import letters Screen.
