Configuring MD3 for the Importation of MMEx HL7 Documents

MMEx HL7 documents can be directly imported into Medical Director (MD3).

The MMEx Client will automatically download message attachments to configurable directories on your server where they can be easily imported into MD3.

The following simple steps will configure MD3 for importation of MMEx's HL7 Documents.

Log into MD3. From the Main Menu Toolbar, select the Tools Menu and then click on Options.

The Options Box contains a large number of tabs. Click on the Investigations Tab (See Figure 2).

In the Investigations Tab, click on the Setup data transfer button.

In the File path line, you must enter the details of the location you established to store HL7 documents during the MMEx Client installation.

Click on the binoculars (browse) and locate the HL7 file. Press Save in the Setup data transfer box, then Save in the Options menu.

You have now configured MD3 to download HL7 documents, including pathology reports, from MMEx.

Locating MMEx HL7 Documents in MD3

To view your HL7 Documents in MD3, go to the Investigations Menu in the MD3 Main Menu Toolbar and select Download.

Once downloaded, you can view the details of the message and file it accordingly.
