Management of Patient Records: Observations

To begin, select your patient and click on the Observations tab in the menu to take you to the Observations page. To record a new observation, click on the New Observation button to open the pop-up box (Figure 1).

Enter relevant data in the appropriate fields and click on Add Observation. You data will now be visible in a table on the Observations page (for example, Figure 2).

Observations will also be pulled from results that come in to your Results In box and are associated with the patient and from data that is entered from the Care Plans.

New observations made at a later date will appear in the table, in the row below, making the data easy to compare across time.

As more & more observations are made, they will be presented across multiple pages. Use the numbers below the table as they appear to scroll through the pages.

Observations can be easily comparable across time by using the Graph view. To switch to this view, click on the Graph button (seen in Figure 3).

You can then select which of your data you would like to be visible on your graph using the check boxes on the right side (Figure 4).
