MMEx provides an online version of MIMS that can be used within the system to assist with tasks such as prescribing medications, filling out the National Inpatient Medication Chart (NIMC), and recording patients' medication details within the MMEx patient management system.
To utilise MMEx you must first have the MIMS integration service activated. Subscriptions to MIMS can be purchased from the GSMHN website. Please contact the GSMHN helpline on 1300 722 926 to activate your access to MIMS.
Once you have your version of MIMS activated within MMEx, you can begin to use the database. The integrated version of MIMS can be used to select medications, record allergies and highlight drug interactions. Within MMEx, the MIMS database operates via predictive drop-down lists, which narrow down the list of medications for you to choose from.
